Description:
This projects consists of three individual community centers totaling 87,826 square-feet. Each of the sites features a number of exercise and multipurpose meeting rooms. Full sized gymnasiums for basketball, volleyball, pickle ball and more. The Chamizal and Alameda locations include express libraries. These are libraries with a limited selection of books. The Lomaland center features a pedestrian bridge from the residential area above it to access a second level 5,600 square-foot open terrace with a breathtaking view of El Paso’s lower valley. The City of El Paso also commissioned three artists to create a featured work of art at each of the facilities. The Chamizal center features a lit mural on the southern parapet, the Alameda center includes a light feature in the main lobby of the building, and the Lomaland center features a steel canopy with a laser cut design by Blessing Hancock.
