El Paso, TX – Leaders from El Paso County, Huitt Zollars Architects, and Jordan Foster Construction gathered to sign the final beam in the Fabens Airport Hangar, marking the completion of three hangar buildings.

Fabens Hangar Expansion

“The beam signing is a testament to the collaborative spirit and shared vision of all those involved in this important project for our region,” said John Goodrich, President of the Infrastructure Division at Jordan Foster. The increase in air traffic that the hangar provides to and through El Paso County will benefit the local agricultural community and serve as a significant tool for economic development.

This project exemplifies the powerful synergy between the two divisions of Jordan Foster Construction, all driven by a shared vision: to transform the site with innovative vertical and horizontal designs. The commercial division has successfully constructed three state-of-the-art hangars, each covering 100 square feet, while the infrastructure division is committed to developing a robust concrete taxiway and a reliable asphalt access road. Additionally, they are not only integrating essential utility services but also upgrading the outdated sewage system with a modern 8-inch sanitary sewer line, ensuring a sustainable and efficient future for the site.

“The Fabens Hangar project is more than a space to house aircraft—it stands as a testament of our commitment to technological innovation, educational opportunity, and meaningful community engagement in the field of aerospace engineering.” said Ash Kamath, Vice President of Commercial Division at Jordan Foster. This partnership addresses not only our current requirements but also strategically positions the site for future growth, with potential for additional hangars and enhanced interior facilities. The interior design of the hangars will feature educational spaces, including classrooms, developed in collaboration with community partners such as the University of Texas at El Paso’s aerospace program. This initiative not only fosters workforce development but also deepens our commitment to the community, creating a lasting impact for all involved.
