Over 32 Years of Skilled Craftmanship
For more than three decades, Gerardo “Flaco” Solis has been a trusted craftsman and valued member of Jordan Foster Construction’s Commercial Division.
Since joining the company in 1994, Flaco has built a reputation for his exceptional versatility, unwavering dedication, and strong work ethic—qualities that have made a lasting impact on countless projects across El Paso. Many people have wondered how Gerardo earned the nickname “Flaco.” Early in his career, he worked alongside his best friend, a foreman who regularly called him “Flaco,” meaning “skinny” in Spanish. The nickname stuck and has remained with him throughout his entire career, a name now recognized by his colleagues across the company.

Also known by many as a true “jack of all trades,” Flaco brings a can-do attitude to every project. What he enjoys most about working at Jordan Foster Construction is the opportunity to apply multiple trades, solve new challenges, and continues doing the hands-on work he loves each day.’
Construction has been a part of Flaco’s life from an early age. Surrounded by family members and friends in the skilled trades, he developed skills in carpentry and hands-on craftsmanship that naturally evolved into a career in construction. After gaining experience working on contracted projects, Flaco joined Jordan Foster Construction, where his talent, reliability, and commitment to quality quickly distinguished him from his peers. We were fortunate to welcome him to our team, and he has remained an integral part of the Jordan Foster family ever since.
Beyond the work itself, Flaco values the respect, professionalism, and stability he has experienced throughout his career with Jordan Foster Construction. He also appreciates the benefits, paid holidays, and time off that have helped support him and his family over the years. Flaco has worked alongside every Commercial Project Team at Jordan Foster Construction. His craftsmanship, dependability, and positive attitude have earned the respect of coworkers throughout the organization and continue to contribute to the success of our projects every day. He can be seen on our jobsites always sporting a smile and a positive attitude.
Thank you, Flaco, for your loyalty, dedication, and 32 years of outstanding service. Your craftsmanship and commitment have helped us build more than structures—you have helped build the strong foundation of Jordan Foster Construction. We are proud to celebrate your remarkable career and grateful for the lasting impact you continue to make as we Build Texas Together.
We appreciate all you do, Flaco, for 32 years of Skilled Craftmanship!
