Jordan Foster Construction has completed the expansion of the historic Green Pastures estate at 811 W. Live Oak Street in South Austin, delivering a new 63-key boutique hotel, 417-person event center, and cottage that augments the landmark property, while preserving its historic character, mature landscape, and long-standing community use. Green Pastures has been a fixture of Austin’s cultural and architectural landscape since the late 1800s. Originally built as a family farmhouse in 1895, the property evolved over the decades into a gathering place, a symbol of local values, and one of the region’s most recognizable heritage sites. The expansion honors that legacy by purposefully integrating new construction into the estate’s historic architecture, ensuring it continues to serve the community while adapting to Austin’s ongoing growth.

Executing an expansion of this scale on a historic site required a high level of engineering judgment, planning, and environmental sensitivity. Early in the project, Jordan Foster Construction identified that the existing street utilities, particularly the sanitary and storm systems, were substantially higher than documented, making them incompatible with the city’s updated building codes, requiring the team to lead a complete redesign and replacement of the storm sewer, extending nearly a quarter mile beyond the property. This improvement not only enabled the Green Pastures expansion but also strengthened infrastructure for the surrounding neighborhood, providing long-term community benefits. Jordan Foster Construction’s ability to manage this unexpected challenge, while maintaining alignment with safety standards and project goals, reflects the expertise required on a site of this historical significance.

Endeavors proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new  Health & Wellness Center in El Paso, a first-of-its-kind Health & Wellness Center built by Jordan Foster Construction and designed by RVK Architects. Building on the success of Endeavors’ San Antonio Health & Wellness Center, the El Paso facility was designed to reflect the region’s distinctive architectural and cultural identity. The 42,000-square-foot building reflects the Bhutanese architectural style, an homage to the University of Texas at El Paso’s iconic campus design and the community of El Paso. This approach required precise craftsmanship, intricate façade detailing, and extensive coordination between the RVK Architects and Jordan Foster Construction.

A Skyfold partition system allows the community room to convert into multiple areas or open into one expansive space, supporting flexibility for programs and events.

Deep roof overhangs, strategic shading, and the use of native desert landscaping minimize heat gain, improve comfort, and reduce long-term energy use. Celebrating El Paso’s Culture and Spirit

The interior celebrates El Paso’s unique sense of place through custom art and material selection. Highlights include living moss walls shaped like mountain peaks and a backlit resin art installation inspired by El Paso’s “Star on the Mountain.” In the main lobby, Jordan Foster’s in-house signage team created a custom relief mural depicting the Franklin Mountains—a handcrafted expression of local pride and craftsmanship.

The Excellence in Construction program celebrates the region’s most outstanding construction achievements, highlighting exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, and project delivery. Jordan Foster received the top distinction for its work on the Mariposa Medical Office Building, a four-story, 110,000-square-foot healthcare facility located in Westover Hills, one of San Antonio’s fastest-growing healthcare corridors. 

The award recognizes Jordan Foster Construction’s exceptional performance in technical execution, coordination, and client value. The project required unusually high precision due to its tight 0.75-acre footprint. To navigate these constraints, the construction team implemented extensive planning strategies, including shared site logistics with Methodist Hospital, weekly superintendent meetings, and detailed scheduling reviews—to maintain safe, efficient, and organized operations.

The firm also led an intensive value engineering effort when late-stage design selections produced a projected budget overage exceeding $2 million. Through careful evaluation of materials, system modifications, and long-term performance considerations, Jordan Foster successfully reduced the overage to nearly $54,000 while maintaining aesthetic and functional objectives.

Throughout construction, the team resolved multiple challenges, including rerouting the sprinkler system to preserve ceiling heights and tenant flexibility, resequencing workflows to accommodate delayed material selections, and maintaining operational continuity amid overlapping access, power, and delivery needs with the neighboring general contractor. These proactive decisions protected the building’s performance and upheld architectural integrity.

Kerrville, TX – As Kerr County continues its long recovery from devastating floods along the Guadalupe River, the construction industry has demonstrated the power of partnership and community. Several of Jordan Foster Construction’s trusted partners, including White Cap, Diverse Construction Group, and Hytera, quickly mobilized to provide resources, manpower, and hope to those impacted.

White Cap responded immediately, donating thousands of dollars’ worth of cleaning and PPE supplies that Jordan Foster team members delivered to Camp CAMP in Kerrville. These supplies were critical to the early cleanup efforts. “At White Cap, we truly value our community partnerships. Diverse Construction Group deepened their support by joining the response efforts on the ground. Their team joined forces with Texas State Representative Josie Garcia in cleanup operations and supported search and rescue efforts. “This recovery is about neighbors helping neighbors,” said Dario Hernandez, Owner of Diverse Construction. “With the support of partners like Hytera, Family Powersports, Jordan Foster, The Tow Pros, Aqua Eye, and so many others, we were able to respond faster and more effectively.”

San Antonio, TX – Towne Twin Village: A Holistic Housing Model for Those In Need Jordan Foster Construction Helps Build a Sustainable Caring Community A bold new vision for addressing homelessness in San Antonio has taken shape—literally—with the completion of the first phases of Towne Twin Village, an innovative permanent supportive housing community tailored for seniors who have experienced homelessness. Spearheaded by the Housing First Community Coalition (HFCC), this ambitious undertaking is the result of years of collaborative effort, drawing support and resources from public agencies, private companies, and nonprofit organizations.

Towne Twin Village officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in April,  celebrating the transformation of a long-held dream into a living, thriving community. With more than 200 housing units planned—including Tiny Homes, RVs, and future apartments—the development is not just a place to live, but a hub of holistic support. Essential services include access to healthcare, communal spaces, spiritual services, and daily necessities like meals and hygiene facilities.

Jordan Foster Construction has helped bring this vision to life, constructing the commercial infrastructure that anchors the village. Their scope of work included the chapel, healthcare clinic, community kitchen, event space, and other communal facilities that serve as the foundation for wellness and stability within the village. The public sector’s involvement ensured not only the acquisition of funding but also helped align regulatory, design, and outreach efforts for long-term sustainability

“Our role was to bring the architectural vision to life in a way that supports long-term sustainability,” Raines added. “Towne Twin Village isn’t just about what’s built—it’s about what’s made possible.”

Other key partners include Catholic Worker House, which provides daily meals, hygiene supplies, and essential services at the Towne Twin Village Community Center; University Health System and UT Health, which are offering mental, dental, and general healthcare services; and a host of local nonprofits who will provide case management and other wraparound supports.

Together, this dynamic team has created a national model for addressing homelessness through integrated care and compassionate design. The ribbon-cutting event marked not only the completion of the first three phases of the project, but also a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when a city comes together to reimagine what housing—and healing—can look like.
